This administration is a regular father Christmas in gifting the pundits such a fecund field of scandals to choose from. It is an orgy of questionable IRS wheeling and deeling (lost e-mailsbad prisoner trades, Benghazi, Egypt,Iraq, the red line, Muslim brotherhood), ad nauseum and collapsing into the future.
Here I present a little food for thought and the funnybone.
A grain of Justice has been placed on the great beam scales of the cosmos. Egypt is beating the bushes for Muslim Brotherhood members, and supporters et. al.. They got a can of whoop-ass going stale and they got to use it baby. The ‘ole Grand Mufti is reviewing more death sentence cases for merit as we speak. The Egyptians showed sand in wresting the government from the Brotherhood. And it strikes a cord with me as an American. It use to be that most Americans had a basic idea as to what America meant to them. A nation reassessing it’s condition and reversing such a wrong speaks a to the clear identity the country has in the hearts of the Egyptian people.
Egypt isn’t a historic backwater like Uganda or Somalia, Egypt has had standing in the world since the birth of civilization. The cosmopolitan sense was inborn in the Egyptian people, birthed through many generations on the world stage. They aren’t going abdicate to a bunch of Trolls trying to kill the world back to the 7th century.
One of the hardest lessons I ;have learned about life and my relationship with other males, came as a result of a fist fight that I lost. I was bleeding as I staggered down a hot dirt road that lie at the edge of my tiny hometown of Alva, Oklahoma. My brother happened along in his old ford pick-up. (It had a smoke stack that really wasn’t attached to the manifold) I jumped in the truck and reported franticly that so- and- so beat me up. I expected David my tough older brother to go avenge me. He refused to be seen with me for several days.
Davids reaction was wholly unexpected. I was crushed. But the lesson I learned is that no-one can fight my fights for me. I will either win-lose or draw and I am the one who will live with the consequences. I was given a choice, Man up or take it and like it. The fact that I can fail motivates me to excel because I don’t like failing. So toughen your skin young man and take it on the jaw. There is something worse than death. Dishonor.
Pat Condell is in fine form in this video rant. He always impresses with his command of the facts of the issues he covers and his flawless timing in delivery. I was taken with the existential quandary Israel has to face. For reasons that I have not been able to plumb many bare a grudge against Jews. Jews have been harassed throughout history in about every nation they have settled in. Their confounding crime still escapes me though. What was the original sin?

I wonder about the character of the Japanese. I have heard interviews with old German Wehrmacht soldiers, and there are some on record refusing to follow orders to kill prisoners. I have, in the half century of my life, only two occasions when Japanese even admitted that such war crimes even happened. Last time I checked, (about a decade ago) there was still an active debate over the “Rape of Nanking.” Hell there are still those who deny any action in Nanking at all ! For a decade before Americas entry into the war Japan cut a ragged swath of blood murder and torture over the greater portion of Asia. Prisoners served as living lab rats for experimentation. Vivisection happened as a matter of course. In the “Medical Units, prisoners, both military and civilian, were deliberately infected with everything from typhus to hemorrhagic fever, arms and legs were broken to study bone mending, prisoners were frozen to study hypothermia. The list of atrocities is endless.
If the ISIS succeeds in taking Baghdad The above-mentioned crimes will pale in comparison to the wholesale massacre that will happen. This is a group that has shown a vested interest in showing the world that they are the greatest Muslim martyrs and murderers around. .
This is a very good, clear and honest timeline of the creation and evolution of the state of Israel. The vale of obfuscations and psudohistory that obscure much of the truth about Palestine are promoted relentlessly by the mainstream media. And the popular trend seems to condemn Israel as the occupier and oppressor of Arab people. Even though the arabs who live in Israel actually have more civil protections than anywhere else in the Arab world.
One wonders what is going through the minds of the men that are pictured above? Did they conjecture about the men, evenly spaced with AK’s ready? Did they question why they were being herded to a remote area that had a large clearing? Did it dawn on them that they were about to be executed?
I remember the first time I saw the grainy black and white films of Jews obediently running to the edge of deep ditch full of their fellow victims dead bodies. I am always disturbed by how co-operative victims are, even to the point of the trigger pull. The typical reaction to watching such films of the holocaust is. “No way! I’d fight to the very last moment!” I am sure that some of these very people, herded to the ditch and stripped to the skin, entertained such thoughts of resistance. Why then, does no one fight back?
Like a deer transfixed to the headlights of the approaching car they stare in disbelief as they meet their fate. They must be “waiting for a miracle” to save them.
Denial is the co-conspirator, keeping the victim in place and non-violent while the Beelzebub boys take aim. I am, on a good, non-militant day, agnostic. And even I will take up the sword and a shield on that fateful day
We once lived at the edge of Alva Oklahoma. A wheat field literally ended at my front yard. And the town, not varying more than a few hundred in population since WWII boasted 5500 souls. We were rural.
I got to see my older brother chased by a turkey. I saw my father snap the neck of a chicken and in attempting to cut it’s head off with a bread knife I saw him cut his index finger to the bone. Doing objectionable things is part of life in the country, from gutting fish and fowl to wrapping a come-along cable around a calves feet to pull it from it’s mothers womb, life required we suck it up and get a steady gut.
As the American culture continues to be feminized, we become less and less able to look at the unpleasant realities of life. And like the brat child scaring his sister with a dead frog in his hands, these murdering bastards know we are soft. and easily repulsed. The terrorist gains power from his ability to go where no one else dare go. And the worst terrorist reads your character and designs his terror accordingly. As a culture we have become separated from the basic visceral realities of life. Our gag reflex has a hair trigger and we are truly vulnerable. Hammer says, Man up, when they hang a decapitated head in front of you, French Kiss the head and laugh in their face.
So Palin really thinks that she can get a government employee fired. Impeachment. The word carries a gravitas that gives pause. When such words surface, as with Ma and Pa Clinton back in the early 90’s, Republicans can be destroyed. Impeachment of a standing president has never happened. Yes, Nixon left office, but it was a case of quitting before you’re fired. If the GOP raises the black flag on a president they had better have good traction and a deadly follow-thru or they will get shot in their own cross-fire. Palin, as a harbinger, brings a mixed bag of qualifiers and detractions to the moment of outing her wicked intent. She has a good political instinct but she presents in such a cornball fashion, trailer park Texas Drawl and all, ( and I know she is from Alaska. Don’t sweat it, how would it sound if I said she had a hound-dog Alaskan drawl?) that one is hard pressed to take her seriously.
