Congreswoman Rashida Tlaib , in light of her anti-Semitism and support for the BDS movement (boycott,divest, sanction) against Israel was denied entry into Israel in the company of her cohort and fellow anti-Semite Ilhan Omar. Tlaib submitted a request to see her grandmother, living on the west bank, on humanitarian grounds stating, “It might be my last chance to se her.” She was granted admission. Then she denied that she was going to Israel at all.

The response from the Israelis was incredulous. So she was willing to give up an opportunity to see her granddmother for political reasons. In other words, her hatred of Israel outweighed her love for her grandmother..

It is obvious that Tlaib wanted the Israelis to deny her entry on her request to see her G-ma. The it would be great fodder for vilifying the Israelis as unloving toward grandmas. But then…..woops! not everyone is as bitter as you are Rashida. They gave you what you asked for. Not what you wanted. So much for cheap-shot sniping.

BiBi Netanyahu, at the behest of our POTUS, refused entry to Israel to Rashida and her toadie, Ilan Omar. Both congresswomen are very vocal anti-semites, and both have pledged allegiance to the anti-semetic BDS (Boycott, Divest, Sanction) movement. Rashida, in tones uncharacteristic coming from a woman who kicked off her campaign for congress with the statement “we’re going to impeach the mother…..r” beseeched the Israeli’s on humanitarian grounds, asserting she wished to visit her 90 year old grandmother, possibly for the last time. The Israeli’s acquiesced and Tlaib was granted entry. No word from congressman Omar however.

Soon I will see wedges of geese headed south for the winter, the animals coats will begin to thicken, and the squirrels will be busy packing stores away for winter.. As yet I have not smelled the fresh chill on the breeze that hints at the change in season. Such distant calls for a change in the political season are peering from the shadows in the tree line. Since the Mueller Snipe Hunt went kaput, the attacks on Trump have been losing their poisonous bite. The vicious, semi-literate insults being cast from each side seem to carry less energy. The faux-outrage at all things TRADITIONALY AMERICAN is losing it’s vitriol. I am not shocked and outraged as often…. . Have the left punched themselves out? Are their arms getting heavy and falling to their sides?

In my half-century plus I have never seen such obscenities exchanged without an ultimate consequence of blood letting.. And it is with stunned hope that I scan the landscape in search of a signal that all is well.

Caterwauling is an irritating sound. It is supposed to be intolerable. Your average 4 year old knows that there is a percentage of attempts that the beleaguered parent will give in to whatever demands are being whined about. But yolur average Joe has limits to his/her tolerance for whiney sounds.

So I am sitting on a sheet of plywood laid across a couple of saw horses to serve as a makeshift table. “Speed” Defenbaugh grunted when I declared that it was getting harder to find construction work with the increasing number of Hispanics willing to undercut our wages. Speed was real slow…..Get it? OH Well. You just have to be brain damaged to get the humor.

My pants, covered in lambs blood, coagulated on the ride home and were stiff by the time we arrived..

A happy girl flipped me a freshly minted, shiny silver dollar one night in 1974. I was so blessed as I sat on a old truck tire in the pool of light cast on the gas pumps of a lone gas station about five miles east of Barstow California. The night was cold, as nights are in the desert, and I was wearing a small blanket with a head hole ripped in the center to make a makeshift poncho. I didn’t have any shoes and wore rags tied on my feet as sandals.

I thanked the happy girl for the silver dollar and used it to make a call home. What’s a 15 year old boy to do twelve hundred miles from his Oklahoma home? CALL MOM! But she could neither afford to drive out and pick me up, nor send me the cost of bus ticket. Even though mom couldn’t offer a swift rescue from the consequences of my errant teen-age behavior, my spirits were lifted and I rode that call all the way back to Alva, Oklahoma.

I thumbed a ride from a trucker named “Wormy” the next morning. I was home two days later.

My personal experience leads me to believe that the strength of the nuclear family is the foundation of American culture. An intact family, with two parents actively engaged in child rearing, offers the best bet at a robust, dynamic culture at large. With the nuclear family dismantled, as it is today, there is a gradual disintegration of society as a whole.

Escobar (D), just couldn’t bare the insult to injury such a visit might inflict on the survivors of the recent Wal Mart Massacre. Yet it seems there are many who were touched by this tragedy and who appreciate the presidents time and attention.
