I waited till the last minute. She said that I could come a half hour early but I waited until three minutes before the curtain went up. I planned on leaving a little early to avoid the en masse’ exodus from the school. The play was Peter Pan and I was delighted to find out that it was only about 45 minutes long. I was hot. They turned off the air handlers to the gym because they were too noisy. I felt the sweat trickling down the nape of my neck. I’ve got a game leg and it was giving me problems. There was no seating left so I had to stand for the whole performance. I had to rescue little sister Masey because she insisted in getting in the way of the cast who were stampeding through the double doors I was compelled to watch from because the SRO actually spilled into the hall.

Then, from my vantage at the door, I spotted my Leah, who sat at the foot of the stage in her Indian outfit looking away from me. In a few seconds she began to scan the room. When she saw me she smiled. It was such a smile of utter joy at my being there, so radiant she sparkled ! A powerful creature, a grandchild. She turned my whole day around with just a smile. Suddenly I was just overjoyed to be there.

But like the simple paramecium, they don’t respond to anything that isn’t directy affecting them. Heat, light, or other noxious stimuli affect the paramecium. A consideration for events that affect others will have to wait for an evolutional leap..

It’s about the worldwide subjugation and victimization of a whole gender. It’s about a woman stuffed into a cloth bag buried up to her waist and then slowly murdered by having rocks thrown at her. Sharia law is in direct contradiction to any standard of decency any place on earth. From the amputations for theft, stoning for sexual indiscretions, hangings (Iran is hanging homosexuals), to death for apostasy. It is a laundry list of tortures and abominations as long as your arm. Sharia defiles the common good wherever it is installed and enforced. It should be ablated like a cancer when found.

Of course any cognizant person concedes that Sec. ‘O State Kerry wasn’t serious about the health plan. But the statement should never have been voiced. A proficient speech writer would have avoided any language that would trivialize the statement. If the bully knocks you down, Do you disarm him by saying “…and your mother never uses coasters with her tea glass!” You just end up sounding like some emasculate dufus. The echo is the endless train of ill-fated, feckless “toe the line moments.” that he hasn’t acted upon.

Mohammed Yusuf founded Boko Haram (“western knowledge is a sin”), with the intent on establishing a Taliban-like organization in Nigeria. Sharia law would prevail as the legal system. Stoning, amputations, beatings and suspension of rights. Not to mention honor-killing the women in your family, punishment of rape victims, unequal treatment of women in all public and private situations. Sex slavery has been accepted in Islam since it’s genesis. A sex slave is referred to in the Koran a “possession of the right hand.” Mohammad had sex slaves, (rape-slave is a good way of putting it).
It is important to note that the crimes above stated are not proscribed by the Koran. The Koran just gives every Muslim male God-like power over everybody considered a lesser being than him. These “lesser beings” include anyone younger than the Muslim male, any female and anyone who was not a Muslim. With divine license such as this the behavior of Boko Haram is understandable. The Lord of Flies is at the gates. What’s next ?

A gaggle of Rutgers University faculty has petitioned to drop Condoleezza Rice as their commencement speaker. Let us review things a moment. Mrs. Rice, apart from being a concert quality pianist since early childhood, served as the 1st African-American secretary of state, the second female in the position since Albright, the second in the position for blacks of any gender, professor at Stanford University, National security adviser to the president, and service on the National Security Council for the Soviets and eastern Europe. Just to mention a few achievements in a career studded with achievement. Yup! she is obviously not the person to heed as you start the quest for a career. ( that was humor. don’t take it seriously). I do not know what the individual achievements of the “faculty” might be. But as a group of professors I can tell you that most instructors are just kids who remain in school to avoid going out into the world and engaging in activities that actually require skills past the point of regurgitating information. The girl at the information booth at the mall shares that skill set.

Condi, however, showed insight and sensitivity in withdrawing from the engagement. She asserted that she would rather withdraw than ruin a special day for students and family by turning the occasion into a political donnybrook. Again she impresses me with her positive genious at mastering this situation and turning it to her advantage. She comes up smelling like a rose, and her detractors well, I don’t know who they are. No one will know who they are as they, like most of us, pass through history. For we may pass through history, this woman however, IS history.

Mrs. Rice “Ahh bless ya dear Condi” however, found the heart of the matter, and took the high road.

“…YOU’RE all wrong! There simply is no elephant here!” Perino and Krauthammer give concise and clear opinions concerning the powers that be and the Benghazi debacle. It is easy to write off a scandal after time and interest has passed. Our news cycles have long ago crowded out the news about Benghazi as new events arise.
What is disturbing is that there is still friction for traction with the story or the preponents of this angle would have moved on to apply their angst to another more fruitfull situations. Situations that could more readily offer some other scandalous bit of grist for the GOP to commiserate over.
No problem here, keep moving on…but the white house sends one of it’s top dogs on a marathon Sunday talk show run. Rice lied for them. Do you think she knew they were lies? I felt Obama’s defense, “you won’t get her unless you go through me” was a bit strident. For a moment the Hammer toyed with the thought that there was some “me and missus Jones” going down. That’s the kind of possessive challenge that one hears coming from a man about his woman. If you asked a person to lie for you it would follow that you would send the message that you have their back. If you just threw them under the bus, you would be compelled to make nice because you again have put your career in her hands, (and she might be pissed enough to turn} and it behooves you to be supportive.
Moreover, once a person has found something they were searching for, they quit looking. It would be foolish to continue to search once you have found your answer. But alas, that is not the condition of Benghazi.
Benghazi just has too many shadowy areas, so many obfuscations and disseminations, not to mention a huge clownish red herring.
And why hasn’t anyone mentioned the lynch mob mentality of the white house and the department of justice in jailing the maker of the video. Especially when It is established that he was a Red Herring and a Judas goat for the administration.
