In a rush the main stream media has pilloried Axelle Despiegelaere, World Cup model of the ripe old age of 17. Headlines such as Yahoo’s, “World cup model…causes an uproar with CRASS hunting photos… ”  Oh! Lord give me a culture that hasn’t been so emasculated! The left, having  infiltrated and conscripted media in America, can always rely on their running-dog-lackies  to carry the message for them.

The neo-puritanical society that prevails in  tuning media messages hates guns and the people who hunt with them. Any skill or activity that indicates independence and self reliance is forbidden. So in order to feel that their world is in balance the reliant person must be marginalized and made to appear dangerous.

Truth is what I tell people. Any lie will do if it works to further my agenda. Good day!….Such is the creed of the Main Stream Media.

I’ll get on the emergency after I drink a beer and shoot another game. Even congressman in  his own party stand in mute disbelief as he turns his back on the flood of dependant children that are getting carried across the border  by coyotes, (human smugglers).

All we are left with is conjecture over his possible reasons for not acting to ameliorate the situation at the border. He is presently demanding funding from the lawmakers and asserting it is Congresses responsibility not his to fix the border problem. He has heaped  much dramatics in his braying about taking unilateral action ” I got a pen and I’ve got a phone”  in circumnavigating Congress in implementing his wishes.  Congress is the Judas Goat in a  dog-eared strategy of out-sourcing blame for a situation he  is clearly responsible for causing.

As a shrink, I see a deer-in-the-headlights paralysis. It will be interesting to see how he dissipates the picture of failure he is painting with his  intractable inaction on multiple fronts. Such paralysis can be attributed to confusion, fear, a sense of being overwhelmed or all of the above. It is time to begin keeping an eye on his state of mind. The final crisis to his administration might be the conflict raging within our POTUS’s mind.

Prejudice; to pre-judge a person, place, event etc.. I never expected to see a Palestinian parody of anything let alone another Muslim group. I must fight cynicism as I peruse the net looking for what I look for, but in the last chambers of my private thoughts, I get a little giddy when one side or another of a long term blood feud shows that it can find some forgiveness of the world. A good sign.

A most comely demon girl strolled about Satan’s garden party, ” Sir would you like a tuberculosis? , Or a good case of small pox or hunta virus?  Or you who miss the Black Death..Hunta Virus (genetically similar to Bubonic Plague).” This cigarette girl of disease offers large selection of maladies that are not seen much anymore. Well at least they are not seen in the post industrial countries.

This, as you may have guessed by now, is a side benefit of the large  influx of South American children dumped here by parents, desperate to escape the crushing poverty and violence of their homes in south America. Tuberculosis has been making a comeback in recent years. Strains that are increasingly resistant to treatment have been popping up.

Some sarcasm has been floated as to the previous difficulty the native population had when exposed to European viruses brought over by the Spanish in the 1500s. I guess if we all can’t visit the third world with wide spread small pox we should bring a little of the third world home.

This post is pure self-centered boasting  as well as  a precautionary tale about progress and judgment.  As a proud owner of a 1911 I was never swayed by the unsubstantiated rumors that led shooters into the 9 mm craze and subsequent shame at having been so duped.

In all things a good judgment of quality and attention to track record is invaluable in judging outcomes. Against the onslaught of snide comments about having twice the magazine capacity than my 1911. Find a story of an average gunfight and I bet you can’t find one article on how a 1911 ‘ran dry’. Most gunfights are over in seconds, they happen with only inches between the shooters, and body mass is as accurate as you are going to get.

SIZE MATTERS? The FBI agents involved in the 1986 shootout of two robbery suspects in Dade county Florida would confirm that size, (in this case, caliber) matters. The suspects took multiple hits  of 9mm pistol ammunition and still  kept coming.. Even outnumbering the suspects four to one did not prevent two FBI fatalities and five others wounded. The FBI started looking for a more powerful round than the 9mm.

Eleven years after, two bank robbery suspects, armored from neck to foot, engaged in a running shootout with police in which they out gunned the officers responding. The city refit the officers with .45 caliber handguns for good measure.

In a world that capriciously pursues the ‘next big thing’, much of quality is thrown out just because it has been around a while. And more dangerously, we adopt the next ‘thing’ in a heart beat. Never giving the consequences a second thought. That’s why Coke says Classic Coke rather than just ‘Coke’ on the can. It wasn’t broke. Somebody fixed it. Everybody hated it. Coke was brought back as “Classic”.

 L.B.J.’s  ‘Great Society’ has birthed the ‘Great Dependent Society’. Now the problems it sought to solve are ten times worse. Whoops “shoulda thought it through!”

The moral to this story is that what is called progress doesn’t always turn out to be better. This is very evident when one considers all the failed social experiments the left always precipitously initiates. I guess if I want it to happen then it is invariably good and should be pursued relentlessly.

Will Smith wrecked the alien spacecraft in a big chase scene in the flick, ‘Independence Day’ and then he did a victory dance with a rather long list of self aggrandizing pap aimed at burnishing his legend for his adoring public. He ‘spiked the ball’ after scoring a hit on the alien invader.

I am a collector of war stories. Over the past couple of decades I have probed and prodded old veterans  till they spilled something of their experiences. It was rather difficult to get some of the old men to open up. Some had never talked about their war experiences, all had been raised not to brag.

Omaha beach, the Battle of the Bulge, Iwo jima…the list of battles waged by these old warriors  is endless, and their exploits are always rendered in quiet terms, without fanfare and bluster.

A good sport, we have been taught, dos not brag or beat his chest. I feel such  quiet heroism increases the status of the soldier. He is seen as a true man, whose word is subdued but as binding as steel. Such strong and silent men are fading from the American picture. They have been replaced by the braying jack-ass who is jumping around acting the fool and thumping his own chest.  The  real man quietly retired to his life after saving the world. The barking  man-boy  is the standard of the day.

Bless the quiet heroes. On this July fourth find an old vet and thank him. They are leaving us at about ten thousand a day and soon it will be too late to express our gratitude. Enjoy this rendering of a mornings work to  the greatest generation. Relax and watch every second of the vid. Then thank a vet this forth. And thank you for stopping by this fourth of July.

They stand in stunned silence as their wonderboy eats dirt  dead last in every heat. Coming in behind the kid with one leg five inches shorter than the other!

The shame as Harry Reid lies these days. it is with a voice cracking in the  effort to hold back the sobbing. There is no joy in Marxville tonight. Their boy has been fanning home plate so much he was awarded a green contact as a wind generator. Five whipping boys have been beat to death during his administration. He fans the plate and they pay for it.
