The presidents “girl Friday” Valerie Jarret sounds off on the nomenclature problem with the administration. Ms. Jarret explains the administrations aphasia with the phrase ‘Islamic extremists’. She asserts that there are extremists of all kinds, not just Muslim. So it all boils down to the administrations equivocating again. Valerie’s position often seems a little too deeply involved with presidents affairs. So I would expect anything she says to be the official word of the administration. There are some insiders who believe her sway extends further than scheduling appointments. She appears free to offer input on all presidential affairs, regardless of import and sensitivity. The equivocation puts “Islamic” extremism in a group, therefore it’s impact is diffused.
