The occasional candidate that brings the comic relief to the arena is refreshing. Bernie Sanders is just such a fellow. He is one of those who are, by their nature funny even though they may not be aware of it.  Bernie came out for a new minimum wage and his staff is now putting his feet to the fire to get paid. They say their wages are abysmal, and that working as much as  60 hours a week is standard for his campaign.

Wages Up, Hours Down

Ronald Reagan once said that one thing that would guarantee worsening a situation was someone saying, “I am from the government and I am here to help.” Amazon increased their minimum wage to fifteen dollars an hour in response to criticism from caterwauling from the left.  Then reduced warehouse employee hours!  Is this equilibrium such a difficult call to anyone above the third grade?

Kelly hit the mark. If you call me short I will not fret for I am still 6 foot three no matter what you say. If I don’t believe it, I won’t bark. It’s when I think there is truth to the comment that am emotionally hooked. Trump, however, has gone beyond the pale so far that Shakespeare had something to say about it; “Methinks he protests too greatly!”   (So it must be true) Klikdapik for a comment, and then look up Reaction Formation in your psych dictionary.Megyn Kelly Donald Trump

“It’s this math thing that gets us. It’s so difficult to figure out.” SO why can’t the government give us anything/everything we want? I mean it’s just the governments money so they can do anything they want to. Right?” I mean what’s it matter if the rich are paying more. They have enough.!”  AND THE GOVT. CAN JUST MAKE MORE MONEY IF THEY RUN OUT!”  Right?

If you don’t know it’s sarcasm….you are part of the problem you idiot.

Can You Take a Hint?

A client once complained to me how difficult life was getting since they stopped drinking and drugging. He had a crowd of complaints about his job, his spouse, his kids, etc.  It was snowing heavily that night. So I suggested that he spend the night sleeping in his car,  (just like the “bad ole’ days) so he could get a more realistic idea of what a true difficulty is as well as have him revisit the kind of accommodation booze had provided in the past and, if he didn’t find some spine, would again arrange for his future.

He quieted down about his difficulties then. And felt better. Two days ago there was another movement to jack the minimum wage to  fifteen dollars an hour. Yesterday Wal Mart closed the stores. No  real warning (about two hours). Could this be a reality check? Could they be recipients of a hard lesson from the founders of the feast? HMMMMM?

The more fanciful angels of my nature really believe the timing was just a little too timely. Again, HMMM?
