When the Victim is King

The strange phenomena of victimhood as a thrust for power has reared it irritatingly whiney head in this case. It is not a rare event. But that doesn’t make it any less irritating. It appears to have a strong presence in the women’s movement and civil rights movement. Perhaps we have, in our desire to heal all wounds, and be oh! so! nice! to those who have had it rough in the past, rewarded facile endeavors as  enterprise with inherent worth where it has not a jot of objective value.  Again another performer, physically mature, but emotionally, 13 or 14 years of age, is caught in the headlights……..  while we ask why.
